TxStevo: About Me
I have enjoyed wine for over 20 years but it has been within the last 10 years or so that I have been exposed to wines from all over the world. My international business travels allowed me to experience wines that I otherwise would likely not have tried. One of the benefits to the travel was the opportunity to dine out and part of the experience typically included wine. My love of wine continues to evolve but typically my exposure to new wines is due to recommendations from someone, be it a friend, a colleague, a sommelier or an event such as a wine tasting.
In July 2008 and July 2009 trips to California continued the evolution and education. The trips to California wine country allowed me to meet passionate people who so enjoy creating their wines. Enjoying the wine and the story behind a good wine is something I seek out.
The most fun of it all is enjoying a nice wine with friends…that’s what it is all about. Wine compliments a social setting, a special occassion, a dining experience to such an extent that some of my best memories can be recalled in relation to a particular wine.
I will share my wine experiences along with some of the exceptional dining experiences that I have enjoyed.
Cheers! and I hope you enjoy!
Hi Stevo,
Hope you can take a minute to visit our site: we’re a riverfront vacation rental just down the road from Gary Farrell, right on Westside Road. Would love to give you a tour next time you’re in the area. http://westside-lodge.com lists most of the Westside Road wineries and we maintain a pretty thorough calendar of local wine & food events in the area.
